MAC Fluidlines are possibly my favorite MAC item . I am thrilled when I hear there will be new ones.
MAC Me Over brings three all new Fluidlines plus one good re-promote Dark Diversion( deep plum).
The three new beauties , and they are beauties are:
Avenue- Called Charcoal by MAC, but very much deep brown to me with a nice shimmer of gold flecks.
Midnight Blues- Very deep blue, almost navy.
Dark Envy- Very deep hunter green ( MAC calls it blackened green).
These are the deeper cousins to Siahi and Ivy from Mickey Contractor and if you loved those, you'll most likely love these. I do and while I'm not much a of a blue liner user, I can't really pick a fav between the other two , Avenue and Dark Envy. But since I love all things green, it probably is Dark Envy by a nose, or eyeline.
What do you think of the new Fluidlines? Will you be trying them ?
Ther MAC Me Over collection is on counter August 25th , International is listed as September.

Sephora Jumbo Liner 12 Hr Wear Waterproof
Want a quick hit of big color that's super easy ? Look no further than Jumbo Liner Crayon 12 HR Wear from Sephora
.
Not just for eyelining , these easily go all over the whole eye in once swipe.
I love quick pencils like this because while sometimes I have lot of time for makeup , like most people I often have very little time to get it done. I still want it to look good of course.
Sephora's Flashy Waterproof liner has been a top favorite of mine for years. One of the longest lasting products ever on my eyes and the new Jumbo Liner lasts really well too. It's also supposed to be waterproof though I haven't tested that part yet.
There are 14 shades at $ 10.00 each, ranging from basic black to bright turquoise. The quality is tops and they are an easy to stash item for during the day touch ups.
Shades shown are Kaki and Gold.

I love the Olive shade, Kaki, for a fast smoky eye. The olive is a change up and great for summer. Add a little light gold in the inner corner and I'm set. And yes I wear this as a daytime smoky eye.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Liners
Make Up For Ever's new Aqua Liners are IT. These liners last as last all day, as in last even after you've washed your face you may find a trace still there last. (Having not used eye makeup remover beforehand in that case).
You've heard me mention many times how few products last on my eyes. Even waterproof etc. These stay on , even on my very oily lids.
The applicator is very tiny , precise and hard. It's really easy to use and I am no liquid liner expert.
They also come in a great color selection. From bright green to flat black. I have #5 Diamond Turquoise Blue and #7 Diamond Black Purple. The purple is a definite favorite. It's very dark, but still purple, or almost plum. The green shades are on my list.

At The Makeup Show preview this weekend, makeup artist to Joan Jett and American Idol among others, as well as fun guy, James Vincent talked about how much he loved the new Aqua Liners. He got to test them before anyone else during Miami Fashion Week and had models in the pool water all day shooting with these liners and they didn't budge.
Key ingredient is 50 % more polymers than other eyeliner formulations.
Make Up For Ever Aqua Liners are available now at Sephora for $ 23.00 and come in 15 shades.

MAC Ivy & Siahi Fluidlines from Mickey Contractor
MAC is hitting it hard with new collections right after holidays and for the New Year. It seems though that there are always stand outs within each collection. With Mickey Contractor, I think it's the Fluidlines. The rest of the line is nice but nothing too out of the ordinary. The Fluidlines on the other hand, rock.( Although the new shadows are pretty nice here as well. ) I am a huge Fluidline fan and we haven't seen as many new ones for some time except the very pretty Dark Diversion from Stylishly Yours.
The Mickey Contractor collection , inspired by Bollywood makeup artist pioneer and MAC's Director of Artistry for India is on counter January 6 in US, January International. Both Fluidline shades are LE.
These new Fluidlines are the emerald green Ivy and the medium blue Siahi. MAC calls Siahi deep turquoise blue. I think it's very much a medium sapphire/deep teal . I love the greens so Ivy has me in it's thrall. It's super emerald and kind of 80s . It looks great on. If you like blues then you'll love Siahi. Both are very wearable I think, if you love color.

CoverGirl LiquiLineBlast Eyeliner
Cover Girl's Blast line continues to grow, this time with LiquiLine Blast eyeliner- colorful eyeliners with a smudger at the end. These glide on so easily like many of the high end brands and really don't need the smudger side much. The pencil point is fine and leaves a nice fine, even line. The color pigments are bold and these hold up well on the eye.

Shown are Green Glow and Violet Voltage. Green Glow is a bright lime green and very fun. I also have Silver Spark ( not shown) which is not silver but a deep gunmetal grey . It's a perfect deep, dark grey .
Suggested retail is $ 7.99 . In stores now.

MAC To The Beach
To The Beach has gotten a lot of pre- press for months now with a few images popping up here and there. At last the release date is near- May 27th and I have some product to show you.

The packaging is very, well, preppy beachy. Green or orange with seashell motifs on the outside compacts. The star product will be the embossed Seahorse highlighting powder, reminiscent of the Lillyland floral one. That's also one item I don't have in hand yet. Lustre Drops are brought back too. I loved those last year.

The line is very coral and bronze and perfect for summer. The blushes , new Bronze Body Oil and Float On By eyepencil especially call to me. The bronzing oil is a shimmering , lightly bronzing ,scentless, quickly absorbed oil.

Sephora Flashy Eyeliner Waterproof

I love eyeliners. I have a whole container just for them . Mostly colored ones. Not only because I love the colors, but they smudge less. Finding a smudge or fade free liner is always top of the list. There are some good ones but the best so far I have bought is Sephora's Flashy Waterproof.
It truly lasts all day. My eyeshadow may wear off , but that liner is still there. I have it in Flashy Brown which is really very deep copper unlike the Copper one which is more gold. I love the color, and the soft texture. Better yet, it's only $ 8.00.
The Flashy liner comes in pink, silver, mauve, orange, teal, turquoise as well as black.
I just made my friends and family order. Now I wish I added some of these to it. I have the best color though. That's good for now.

Meltproof Makeup Tips
With a week of 100 temps behind us, but no doubt more heat coming, I thought I'd share some of my best hot weather makeup tips. I have serious makeup melt, even when it's not that hot, so the scorching weather really proves hard. I have tried many things to keep the makeup on, and some work pretty well.First up are eye tips, since I think thats one area we all share in having trouble with. Plus, the face/ foundation in heat wars rage on for me. We'll save that for another post possibly.
A good tip is to begin to rely more on eyeliner than shadows for your eyes. Not just dark liner though, but brights or pastels. Eyepencils in lighter colors seem to hold up much better than black or dark brown. Plus there are now many waterproof versions out there. I have used the basic Sephora non -waterproof ones for years in a lime shade and a light purple with great results. Against a neutral eye background, these look nice, wear well, and if they do begin to slide, don't leave as much of a mess as dark ones.
Good choices :
Sephora Flashy Waterproof Liner: With colors like mauve, copper, orange and silver, you can't go wrong at 8.00

Make Up Forever Aqua Eyes : A huge color spectrum for black to yellow -green to turquoise, these are $ 16.00.
For 35.00 you can get a metallic bronze set of 5 colors., which includes silver and black.
Urban Decay Liquid Liner- If you like liquid, here's your liner. Another I have used for years. Now in new bottle, these stay put forever. Better than the 24/7's even. Acid Green and Honey( gold) are 2 favs and great for now. $ 18.00
Eyeshadows:
Clinique Quick Eyes Liquid Shadow- dries fast, lasts really long. All are fairly light, iridescent shades that don't overdo it. $ 15.00

MAC Paints-I love the Paint Pots, but think these last far longer. In a bit of a messy tube, just squeeze out what you need and apply. Mostly in easy to wear neutrals, there are a few in deeper colors like the red Flammable and deep brown Deep Shadow. $ 16.50 These also make a great eyeshadow base. http://www.maccosmetics.com/
Mascara-
One of the most subjective makeup items out there it seems. But I can wear down even the most waterproof mascara, so if it lasts on me, it should last on anyone.

Cover Girl - I swear by these mostly. Since they went to a smudge free formula years ago, and I tried them for the 1st time, they always last and last and never smudge, ever. The ones I think work best are Volume Exact, Fantastic Lash, Professional( less than 5 bucks) and of course Marathon.
Lancome Defincils- a staple that makes it thru the whole day and night without budging, thankfully. $ 23.00
Now there are many others out there, some I have not tried, so feel free to weigh in here. Great Lash in any incarnation runs immediately on me, Chanel Imitable Waterproof, which I love, does not make it all day. Yes the waterproof doesn't even do it. Sigh.
All Purpose:
Benefit She Laq- I have talked about this before. This stuff saves my eye makeup when I really need it to . It's not perfect, it does make shadow look a bit crinkly, but it also makes it last all day in heat or not. Good enough for me. Makes those smudge-ing mascaras do their job right too. $ 28.00
NARS Multiple- One do it all stick that dries powder-y and lasts on lips and cheeks. Love it. Portable, great for the beach to touch up after, or anytime you need it. Creams rarley last on me, but this one does pretty well. Use on eyes too. $ 36.00
Hope this helps, thse are all products that I use and work for me. There is more to explore and if you have more tips, share.
All items except MAC and Cover Girl are http://www.sephora.com/
