New from Pixi is the Ultimate Beauty Kit, a palette with a huge selection  and almost all the colors you could ask for in one place.

Ultimate Beauty holds 32 eye shadows, 16 lip  shades and 8 blushes. Plus there is a nice large mirror.

It's slated for release in November but I've seen it at my Target already.

Dior Deluxe Holiday Palette ( 2011)

Dior as always has some beautiful, gift worthy holiday palettes coming soon.  The big one is the Dior Deluxe Holiday Palette.

This palette , according to Dior , "features the essentials for creating any beauty look, from fresh and glowing skin to smoky eyes to bold lips. On the left side of this chic clutch is a Creme de Rose Lip Balm, and a multi-toned Diorskin Nude sculpting powder."

Dior Blue Tie Palette

Another beauty of a palette from Dior- The Blue Tie containing 4 eyeshadows and one lipstick tucked neatly under a silver flip lid.

This is one of those you can't help but love since it's so pretty. The compact is heavy and has the Dior Cannage embossing. The shadows make a great smoky eye but the lightest blue( top right corner) can be worn daytime on it's own .

Pixi Week of Wake Up Makeup Palette

Pixi's newest palette has all you need for the week  marked out. Each day Monday thru Sunday has it's own eye shadows, lipsticks and blush in one main compartment and 2 slide outs, with the blush embossed with the days name  Now you're not bound to the days by any  means, but  for travel esp.  you can easily have 7 different  makeup looks by taking this one palette along. 

Size wise it's pretty good. Not tiny but not huge. About 6 " across and almost 5" top to bottom.

You get in all, 21 shadows, 7 blushes , 8 liplosses. The blushes are particularly nice.

Givenchy Candide Garden Quad Spring 2011

Givenchy's   Candide Garden is their LE quad for Spring. It  features 4 great colors that are very me, and I find myself using the deep brown and  light peach a lot right now and saving the green for hotter, (self) tanner  days.

 I know many think with quads, that  the idea is to use all 4 shades together. I have never thought that way. No idea why, but to me when looking at a quad, I need to like the shades individually to be interested and I often wear quad shades  only 2 at a time, 3 at most.  I  pretty much never use all 4.

 These colors are very summery and the shades  go on lighter than they look in the pan  and blend easily.  The compact is tiny enough to stash easily in any bag , to have it handy for after beach or pool day touch ups as well as simply mid day workweek ones.

Pixi Lumi Lux Radiance Powder Palette

Pixi beauty  has done some changes over at their website  for a re-launch including a complexion matching tool  and rewards program .They  also have some fun new products out.

One is the Lumi Lux Radiance Powder . It's a pretty blend of pinks , peaches and a nude shade called Peach Petal.
It's a great highlighter and has light to medium pigment so if you're super pale you could use it as a blush as well.  The powder is soft, blendable and shimmery but  a heavy shimmer.  It's is also quite large at 4 1/2 inches long .

 Lumi Lux Radiance  will debut in February or March and has a retail of $ 26.00

Bobbi Brown Mini Brights Palette

One of the fun gifts this year was the Bobbi Brown Mini Brights Palette. Loved this when I first saw an image months ago and it was slated only for international. Then it came to US on the offical website only. I wasn't expecting to get my very own and am happy I did.

The palette has the tiny "dots" of color of the original Brights palette but most of these are frost or shimmers which I like even better. It's a smallish  palette ,so this is perfect not only for every day use but for travel or stashing in your bag. Every color you could need is basically here , and  to go from  soft daytime look to smoky evening eye is a cinch.

My favorite shadow might be Midnight Metallic Shadow. Not a shade I normally would think of for me, but it's such a pretty deep blue shimmer. ( It's the next to last dot  in the row above the brush.)

UNII palette

The UNII palette is a very cool find. This large palette is empty until you fill it with your own products.  In other words, you can have a truly custom palette because it's packed  with shadows, blushes or lipsticks that you already own.
I had hoped to have mine full before posting, but depotting without breaking the eyeshadows is eluding me. You can see some marks  in the Bobbi Brown one in there. Now Bobbi makes refillab;e eyeshadows but this one wasn't one of them.  Besides  I want to use what I have not buy more.

I plan to give the depotting further tries at some point and if you have any tips please share.I have great hopes of having a good many of my MAC shadows in here with a few others as well.  The UNII comes  with helpful hints  but so far not so great.  I have not yet tried the tips in the videos on the UNII page .

The UNII also comes with handy magnets to place on the back of products. The bottom of the palette is magnetic.  It measures 6 x 3  1/2 inches and has a strong seal and clasp . That  piece you see  in the pic is a moveable thumb grip.

It's a genuis idea I think, in   The "Why didn't I think of that " way. Many companies  make shadow refills and more if you want to go that route. Me , I'll be here with a tiny screwdriver and hope.
