Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturizer

Hi Gurls,

I do hope you all enjoyed Ganesh Chaturthi to the fullest - I know I did. Mumbai was all decked up and was in full - on festive spirits.

Anyways, today I will be talking about my experience using Liz Earle's Skin Repair Moisturizer. Liz Earle is UK's luxury skin care brand. I had reviewed their Cleanse & Hot Polish and Skin Tonic before.

I am not keen in using moisturizers - never have and never will. I sparsely use it because I am blessed with Oily skin and I tend to run away from them because they make my skin look like a frying pan after awhile. So when I used this moisturizer ---- this is what happened. . . . . . . .

Product: Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturizer
Quantity: 50 ml
Price: 18.25 Pounds

My Experience with the Product:

I like the packaging of the product. The cream comes in a sleek, travel friendly bottle. The downside is that the bottle is not transparent - You will not know when you ran out of the cream.
The cream is indeed light in texture and sinks into the skin easily.
The cream didn't break me out which was good.
Sadly, This cream was not successful in keeping my skin oil-free. My skin looked like a oily pan after a hour.
So I concluded that I might have applied a bit more of the cream since it was very light.
The next time I used the cream, I took a pea size of the product and simply patted my face with the cream.
The result was same - Oily skin after an hour.

Love it or chuck it?
I will give this one a pass. I do love their Cleanse&Hot polish and Skin Booster tonic more than this product.

Please note: The product was sent by the company's PR for consideration.

Liz Earle - Instant Boost Skin Tonic

After using Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish - I was introduced to the next step of Daily Essentials routine - Instant Skin Tonic and Skin Repair Light Moisturizer. The Skin Tonic accompanies the cleanser to help erase any residue or help to refresh the skin.

So after using this product for sometime now - Its the right time for review - -

Product: Liz Earle Instant Boost Tonic
Price and Quantity: 11.75 Pounds for 200 ml

Ingredients: Aqua (water), Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, Glycerin, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, Cucumis sativus (cucumber) fruit extract, Calendula officinalis (calendula) flower extract, Anthemis nobilis (chamomile) extract, Humulus lupulus (hops) extract, Panthenol, Allantoin, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Tocopheryl acetate, Parfum (fragrance), Citronellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Linalool, Sodium hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic acid, Dehydroacetic acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyaminopropyl biguanide.

My Take on the Product:

I am quite fascinated with the bottle which is very unique and is a twist cap. The product advises to use generous amount to apply on the face, but I use a small amount and it covers my face.

The tonic comes in a number of sizes from 30ml spritz to 200ml bottle.

It can be spritzed over makeup to set the makeup or after cleansing, which is what I use. I also mix it with my face pack sometimes which works great.

It has a refreshing scent and is a cool liquid. The smell is so invigorating -  it instantly refreshes your skin and hydrates it.

I really do think its worth investing in as it adds to enhancing the performance of the cleanser.

You can buy Liz Earle products from their website.

I really love this product and if you own the cleanser and want to step it up I really reccomend buying this!!

My Take on the Product:

I have been using this product, since the time I got it and I am all GAGA over it.
The cleanser comes in a sleek green bottle with a pump dispenser. A single pump is all that it required to cleanse my entire face.
This cleanser effectively removes all traces of dirt and makeup from your skin.
For reference, I have oily - combination skin tone which is sensitive and very prone to acne and pimples, But this cleanser suits my skin and didnt give me any allergic reaction.
The muslin cloth provided does a very good job of removing dirt and makeup and gently exfoliates your skin.
The results are best when you use a warm muslin cloth on your face - It massages your skin and improves circulation.
The warm muslin cloth opens up your pores thus cleansing you skin thoroughly. Splash cold water to close up all the pores when you use warm muslin cloth.
The cleanser has rich and creamy texture and smells of eucalyptus and cocoa butter. The good thing about this cleanser is that it doesnt sting your eyes at all.
Regular use of this cleanser definitely improves your skin tone - making it soft and radiant.
I would also recommend washing your muslin cloth after a 10 uses to avoid any infection to your skin - thanks to the microbes which might harbor on your muslin cloth.

Love it or Chuck it ?
Definitely love it - suitable to all skin types and You wont regret investing your money in this product. No wonder this product is a multi- award winner.

Liz Earle -New Naturally Active Haircare Line

Liz Earle has added haircare to the lineup. There is one shampoo and 3 choices in conditioner.

The shampoo is Botanical Shine Shampoo. It  works for all hair types and has shea butter,  Vitamin E, Aloe Vera , apple and orange extracts and 8 essential oils in it.The formula is SLS  & SLES free.

Being for all hair types, the shampoo was  just right , and basic.  Not too moisturizing but not too light either. I have pretty much normal hair so it worked nicely. Despite all the essential oils the scent isn't too strong , just a nice orange -citrus one. My hair  was soft and not stripped feeling.

The Conditioners are Normal Hair, Oily, or Dry/Damaged.
I used Normal which was just enough conditioning but I do think that maybe I would have liked the Dry/Damaged one better even though my hair isn't. Ultimately I needed a bit more moisture but my hair didn't feel or look dry after blow drying ( and I do use a light leave in ).  The Normal has meadowfoam oil, the Dry /Damaged- Shea Butter.

The line will debut in November.

Botanical Shine Shampoo: $14.50 for 6.7 fl. oz
Botanical Shine Conditioner for Normal Hair: $14.50 for 6.7 fl. oz
Botanical Shine Conditioner for Dry or Damaged Hair: $14.50 for 6.7 fl. oz
Botanical Shine Conditioner for Oily Hair: $14.50 for 6.7 fl. oz

Liz Earle Sun Shade After Sun Gel

It's blazing hot and sunny out there in most places and even with sunscreen piled on, some gets through, and we get hot , sometimes sun parched skin.

A new option to refresh skin is Liz Earle's After Sun Gel. This gel is lightly cooling and has aloe vera and pure lavender essential oil as well as cucumber, glycerin and Vitamin E.

The gel is moisturizing but not too sticky and dries pretty quickly. It smells mainly of lavender and the scent doesn't stay too long. Perfect for after swimming, beaching or just any time you want to boost skin without heavy moisture.

It comes in a travel/trial size at 1 oz for $ 10.00 or a larger 6.7 oz for $ 25.00

Liz Earle Superskin Body Cream

Liz Earle has added some fab smelling body balm to her already strong lineup. Everyone has raved about the scent from the Superskin facial line ( admission- I liked it so much, I would use the Superskin Concentrate on my hands, they needed the love and I loved the smell). To address that, she now has Superskin Body Cream.

This very rich balm has an aromatherapy aspect with notes of neroli, lavender and chamomile wafting around you. It's a bit smoky, herby and floral.

The cream itself has loads of heavy duty moisturizers including shea butter, rosehip seed oil, cranberry seed oil, grape seed oil, avaocado oil and borage seed oil ( borage oil being the one proven ingredient to actually get below the upper layer of epidermis). It gets the job done without being greasy at all. It dries fast and leaves skin hydrated long.

All Liz Earle products use as many organic ingredients as they can, and use no animal ingredients or testing. Superskin Body Cream has 25% pure plant oils.

6.7 oz tube is $ 55.00

Liz Earle can be found at at Studio Beautymix at Fred Segal in Santa Monica, California, Brownes Apothecary & CO. in Miami, Florida and at or UK site http://www.uklizearle.com/ to order and more info ( worldwide link there as well).
