Smushees Flip Flops by Smart Dogs

Summertime is flip flop time. There's a million kinds out there but Smushees  are a bit different. These have  a cushioned footbed that feels kind of like a bean bag for your feet as  they have polystyrene micro-beads in there.  Super comfy and soft. The outsole features  Smartdog's  TPR outsole, and  is lightweight  but hard  so  you can wear them in the yard .

Dr. Scholl's Women's Wonder Sandals

After writing these up for my Lucky Alpha Shoppers page , I thought I'd share here too.

These very cute ( I think) sandals  are from Dr. Scholls. Yes the Dr. Scholls of wooden sandals of yore ( still available, too).  Hey they even have a wood like heel. But these are right on trend , not what you think of with Dr. Scholl's , right ? I never would have guessed the brand without the signage. You can see a thick cushioned footbed there and that's what sets these apart, making for comfort and style.

I haven't bought these- yet. The sandal list is long  so I'm still deciding, but since I originally saw them in April and they are still on my mind, it's looking more and more like a purchase.

Havaianas - Make Your Own

How cool is this ? You can  now custom design your own Havaianas.  I love fun, unusual designs. I bought the Laura Mercier  lip design ones a few years back and this year have my eye on the Matryoshka ones. I love anything Matryoshka themed and they even have a little gold doll charm on the straps.

I have some plain pairs as well and hey , I love them but they're not my favs.

Baby Phat Paula Shoe

As part of Lucky's Alpha Shoppers I get offered the chance to try new  fashion items if I'm interested. When they got in touch on Baby Phat, I have to say my first thought was, no thanks. Then I looked at the shoe image and though well, why not ? Be open. So here I am  surprised by the Baby Phat Paula and how cute it is. It also seems more well made than expected and the faux suede looks real from a distance.

 I think they look best with a pair of your favorite jeans but they can also be part of a casual summer dress look or maybe with a pair of the floaty ,silky shorts that came down the Spring runways.

The heel is very high, so while these can go day to night, it depends on your comfort level with that heel height .

Solestruck Shoe Website

Wandering around the web I found this cool shoe outpost. What I immediately loved was the large selection of fun , not what you see in every store shoes and that so many also had a lower heel. It seems almost every pair of really cool shoes I see are stillettos. For instance they have cage type shoes but instead of a spike, there's a tiny wedge. I love these.

The huge selection includes a new favorite of mine -Jeffrey Campbell. Campbell's shoes remind so much of some of the coolest shoes from the 80's but updated. Also here are Irregular Choice and even shoes from Nina that are almost edgy. Shoes from Nina edgy? Wow.

Cute Makeup Artist Haviana flip flops

Havianas and three top makeup artists have teamed up to design these super cute flip flops. Proceeds benefit charity:water.

I think I need the Laura Mercier ones, with lipstick kisses in colors from her summer collection.

They are exclusive to Saks in stores and online and sell for 15.00.

Trish McAvoy did the sand and sea ones and Bobbi Brown the " life's a beach " ones.
