Matte Fx by Cover Fx

It's hot, and that means oily skin shines. A lot if you're me. Blot powder, matte powders, you name it, I need it.

Cover Fx has one called Matte Fx that really gets the job done. It comes in shades and not simply translucent. I have light and it's virtually indectable color wise. It blends right in.

This mattes instantly and can be used anytime. It has no fragrance and can be used with the puff it comes with or a brush.

Used with my beloved Clear Prep Fx primer from Cover Fx ,it goes a long way to helping my skin tame the oily look. A compact of Matte Fx is almost always in my bag.

Cover Fx Mint Glaze & Camouflage Concealer

New from Cover Fx is Mint Glaze and Camouflage Concealer.

Mint Glaze is a lip balm/treatment/primer. It is very minty and has SPF 15. The balm is quite thick and deeply moisturizes. There's shea butter in there as well as hyaluronic acid and peptides. So not only does it help chapping but also prevention of lines around the lip area. Because it's thick I don't see it as good for a primer. Best on it's own. It lasts long on the lips and forms a good barrier against the elements. It is shiny, but clear with no shimmer.

Camouflage Concealer is a medium thickness concealer that is hi- def ready and water resistant. The peptides pop up here again along with ceramides, bisabolol for inflammation and antioxidant vitamins. The coverage is good as you would expect from Cover Fx. They're known for that . It goes better on top of foundation rather than under and can be applied easily with fingers or brush.

This is also moisturizing with shea butter so I don't recommend it for oily skin unless it's strictly at the eye area.

There is a wide choice of shades here. The color I have is light -medium and it's more medium to me.

Clear Prep FX Matte Primer from Cover FX

It isn't easy to find products for oily skinned ladies who are no longer in their teens. I have dabbled only a little in primers as I worry about them adding more oil to my face or being too moisturizing. On the other hand, I would love something that extends makeup wear.

Now we have a primer made especially for us by Cover FX, called Clear Prep FX. Clear Prep is a mattifying primer that helps to absorb oil. It also contains acne fighting ingredients, antiaging ingredients and line fillers. So you can beat the oilies, and acne without totally stripping your skin.

I've been using it for a week or so now and am really happy with it. Makeup glides on right over it with no pull or smudging. You can feel and see the matte effect right off. I definitely had longer makeup wear and less oil when using this. I still got some oil breakthrough on my forehead but it was less than normal. Really, not much will slow down the forehead oil machine. This winter's 20 degree temps haven't even done it and they usually help.

Clear Prep has 1% salicyclic acid which helps keep acne at bay, other ingredients and their uses are :

-Dermaveil Contains oil absorbers to leave skin looking fresher for hours while reducing the appearance of fine lines and pores
-Vitamins F.A.C.E. Repairs lipids, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, firms skin and prevents damage from free radicals .

Clear Prep FX can be used under makeup or on it's own if you just want to have smoother , oil free skin.
