Timberland Earthkeepers Boots

Timberland Earthkeepers is a new line from the company that is more eco -friendly.   The outsoles of the boots are partially made from green rubber and each shoe has it's own Green Index Rating on the box and shoe.

Thanks to Lucky magazine, those of us who are Alpha Shoppers got a sneak peek. My style is called Atrus and is one well made boot. I love  the cute little pocket.  These are not quite mountain man boots but are rugged for any weekend treks you might be taking. Antique shows in big barns, long walks with the dog or fall leaf peeping. They'd be perfect . The leather and suede is sturdy and seems like it will be water repellent and most of all, they are really comfy.

The Earthkeepers series has several great styles including the Chauncey which as you can see even has a heel. These are  simply stylish and would look great paired with a skirt. I would never have pegged these as Timberlands .

Boots now has a US Facebook site and a place for you to become a US Boots club member. There is so much more to Boots in the UK, but I've always been happy to have any part of them here. Good to see them bringing even more interaction to the States.

Nine West Outliner Boot

One of the gifts under the tree this year were these great boots by Nine West. The style name is Outliner.

They are fairly basic but saved from plainess by that one little stud and tab at the ankle. I love that. Of course it could have studs all over and I'd be happy. The leather is very soft , has plenty of give and the heel is just about an inch. The super pointy toe is a plus too.

( By the way, if you are ordering from the Nine West site, know that their heel measurments are often way off. I've seen that with more than one style.)

Outliner is on sale at the website and in Nine West stores for $49.50. Major sales are going on there right now. They come in black or brown and are a boot you can invest in that will go with almost everything you own.
